Her bridesmaid's wore yellow dresses as you can see above and the bride asked that the reception be full of color - dark pink, orange, lime green and yellow. The backdrop was a wall of lights covered with yellow organza draped with dark pink satin. The table was draped in yellow organza and lined with buckets of flowers, white candles, and lots of shells.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495395680827225330" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/TEORQX_sNPI/AAAAAAAAHB4/IgVPcZOdGSY/Janello-031web.jpg" /> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495396500917969506" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/TEOSAHEj4mI/AAAAAAAAHCA/B5KBTdohC1w/Janello-018web.jpg" /></p><p align="center"><br />The theme of the reception was the "Beach" since they were married on a beach. So I used a lot of sea shells, starfish & sand dollars and of course how can you do a beach theme without sand. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495394636599613298" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/TEOQTl8bV3I/AAAAAAAAHBs/TdPhYikfIAo/Janello-024web.jpg" /><br />I saw these cute boxes filled with sand and candles on an online site but they were 1) extremely pricey and 2) the wrong size for a round table. So I made a quick trip to Home Depot and with the help of Dad, we built my version of the sand box.<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 747px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495393919831960322" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/TEOPp3xs6wI/AAAAAAAAHBk/d9_NRNUsgFo/Web-02web.jpg" /><br />....very,very happy with the way these turned out - tabletop sand boxes filled with sand, candles and shells! They specified decorating with purple (the bride requested purple tulips), which was the color of the bridesmaids dresses but let me fill in the rest on my own! I decided to use lime green to offset the dark purple and used fresh flowers in varying shades of purple and green. </div><div align="center">I personally loved the way everything came together (so did the bride & groom!).</div><div align="center"></div><div align="center">The church alter...</div><div align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5428973145140902370" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/S1eWT8NCOeI/AAAAAAAAFn0/boQyvuikltY/Church-01.jpg" /> Brides flowers.....(the bride carried all shades of purple with just a little bit of green - the bridesmaids carried mainly green with just a little purple - their dresses were a really dark shade of eggplant)<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 600px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5428973139495934754" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/S1eWTnLK2yI/AAAAAAAAFns/gbg6V-yOPts/Flowers-01.jpg" /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 600px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5428971854600987074" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/S1eVI0kV4cI/AAAAAAAAFng/BFnwMu3Ef2s/Flowers-03.jpg" />The BEAUTIFUL bride...<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5428971851682463522" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/S1eVIpsgvyI/AAAAAAAAFnY/7OzHofAdMaM/Bride-01.jpg" />The bridesmaids flowers...<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5428971846069216034" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/S1eVIUyNYyI/AAAAAAAAFnQ/FHlkGsTR_68/Flowers-04.jpg" />Pew markers, the church has the comfy, thickly padded chairs. We were under the impression that the tables would be rounds and found out that there wasn't enough room for them when we arrived to decorate, we had to make rows of pushed together banquets to have enough seating for everyone. </div><div align="center">My 'design' had to change at the drop of a hat in order to get everything done in time - which of course I did. The tables had runners of the lime green satin along with alternating tall purple orchid vases, floating candles in 3 sizes groupings, fresh floral arrangements and small floating candles along with white, green and light purple votive candles scattered along the tables. The bridesmaids were in black dresses and the bride requested all YELLOW flowers. Loved the color combo - very bold and classy. I did some research and presented them with many options, much to my delight they were excited about accenting with lemons. Ashlee asked for spider mums and calla lilies to be used as her flowers, I added in a few roses for filler. We used 7 cases of lemons, approx 375 candles, over 1200 fresh floral stems in the decor for a head count of approximately 350 guests. Three different centerpieces were used on the 44 tables decorated. I hope you enjoy the pictures of Ashlee and Bryan's wedding as much as I enjoyed decorating it - it's definitally one of my all time favorites. </div><div align="center">Ashlee & Bryan were a <strong>great</strong> couple to work with and I wish them all the best in life & marriage.</div><div align="center"></div><div align="center">I owe a huge thanks to those who helped decorate this wedding - my mother, Brenda, Johnathon, Staci, Julie, Arielle, Bethany, Nina and dad & Aunt Eileen in the breakdown after the wedding. Here are a few of the completed civic center while it was still light outside & before the candles were lite.<br /></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5365801112723633890" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SncnrstJtuI/AAAAAAAAE1Q/9vHPYdIT1DM/Room-Finished+-+03.jpg" /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5365801098042627458" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/Sncnq2A7VYI/AAAAAAAAE1I/jy671iI52Lc/Room-Finished+-+02.jpg" /> <p align="center"><br />The head table and backdrop was lite with a lot of candles and white lights, draped in black and offset with yellow flowers. Her wedding colors were red/black and since they're easy colors to decorate with I decided to use them also for the shower. Below are a few pic's from the shower. To keep with the red/black theme, the cake (made by Kathy Eickleman, aka...Kathy's Country Creations) was red velvet. My mother & Aunts helped with the food, we attempted to serve as much red & black food as possible (notice the red Twizzlers).<br /><br />The invitation was a digital creation.<br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300573136373106290" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY9rLxN_RnI/AAAAAAAACew/A8OtV3zcfsY/Tammy+Shower+Invite-4.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300262329311087154" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 600px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY5Qgar4yjI/AAAAAAAACRw/6aZ9PJojyzI/Food+Table+-+12.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300257445024628946" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY5MEHTQANI/AAAAAAAACQ4/szrLdNZ1VrE/Centerpieces+-+02.1.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300258227992133602" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY5MxsFP_-I/AAAAAAAACRA/Mn4VSsOn-H0/Cake+-+03.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300258944228052818" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY5NbYRMz1I/AAAAAAAACRI/P79OBrx4-pg/Flowers+-+01.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300259517791474306" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 600px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY5N8w9YEoI/AAAAAAAACRQ/kLcjkDj4TNs/Food+Table+-+01.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300260396623606530" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY5Ov63SMwI/AAAAAAAACRY/PzkyIH6y07s/Food+Table+-+14.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300261140160328354" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY5PbMwQMqI/AAAAAAAACRg/jFvm3_91yuE/Food+Table+-+05.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300261756000876482" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 600px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY5P_C8FN8I/AAAAAAAACRo/Zq-YY-Qg6DU/Food+Table+-+16.jpg" border="0" />AmyDeanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01765156764934889507noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2642670629094789341.post-65352478661641461752008-04-19T15:44:00.004-05:002009-02-08T19:13:33.224-06:00Jamie & Chad's Wedding<div align="center">This is my suv on the way over to the reception hall....I had a few flowers in there! The place setting consistedof gold chargers, honey stick favors ties with gold/white narrow ribbon and a white napkin with a rose tucked into the tuck. </div><div align="center"></div><div align="center">The centerpieces running down the middle of the tables were gold satin runners atop white linens; white, gold, and red candles of varying sizes; gold mint julep cups with roses; and large rose/hurrican candle centerpieces. Due to the mass amounts of family traveling from out of state (Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Texas, California), keeping the party a surprise just wasn't possible. What we did keep from her was the theme. She has a "thing" for flamingo's - I'm not saying it's a good thing but it grew into a constant source of ribbing and luckily she takes jokes well. We coordinated the entire party around flamingo's without her knowing anything about it!!!</div><div align="center"><br /><br /></div><div align="center">My grandfather died 2 months after the "baby" of the family was born, leaving my Grandmother to raise 11 children by herself. All 11 children have children and some of them have children. Needless to say there are a LOT of us when we all get together (just over 100!). <span style="font-size:130%;color:#ff99ff;"><strong>168</strong></span> family members and friends turned out to celebrate my Grandmother's 80th birthday. All four of her siblings along with two of my grandfather's sibling were present along with most of her children, grandchildren and great grandkids! I wish I had so many more pictures from the day, somehow the day FLEW by - one minute we were waiting for Grandma and the next it was 9pm (and we still had a yard full of people).</div><div align="center"><br />The birthday invitation is handmade from Stampin' Up products. The glitter didn't show up well in the scan. In fact the card looks sooooo much better in real life.<br /></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300582221104379522" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 394px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 500px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY9zcketdoI/AAAAAAAACfA/je_EQq3oXnw/Mary%27s+Birthday.jpg" border="0" /> <p align="center">The Birthday Girl!!!<br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300572345531708274" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY9qdvGtM3I/AAAAAAAACeg/uFEILEgNfKY/Grandma+-+03.jpg" border="0" /><br />Several Aunts, Uncles and cousins came over to help raise the two tents in the back yard.<br /><div align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300562529569907778" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY9hiXzCpEI/AAAAAAAACdY/nzhFc6g-rks/Tent+raising+-+30.jpg" border="0" /><br />We smoked 250 chicken halves.....thanks so much to the men who "offered" to do the grilling.<br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300562537862450114" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY9hi2sIy8I/AAAAAAAACdw/wDRk3KkzeZU/The+cooks+-+10.jpg" border="0" /><br />My Aunt made this cake - isn't it awesome and it's three dimensional!<br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300562532001832882" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY9hig2237I/AAAAAAAACdo/-lc8qr5QCMc/The+cake+-+09.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300562533060201250" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 600px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY9hikzMSyI/AAAAAAAACdg/HAeM0F8WxZY/The+cake+-+12.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300567078994885586" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY9lrLueu9I/AAAAAAAACd4/mU3sJbt3-uc/The+cake+-+14.jpg" border="0" /><br />I designed tee shirts to celebrate the event. Her wedding colors were pale pink and brown - I tried to keep the shower in the same color family. The centerpieces were flowering hanging potted plants in shades of PINK that also served as the door prizes. The guests who won the door prizes were thrilled, the ones who didn't win were a little bummed they didn't get a plant! It was nice to be able to incorporate the centerpiece and door prize into something the guests appreciated.<br /><br />The invitations were handmade with Stampin' Up products.<br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300581424296189074" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 488px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY9yuMI1XJI/AAAAAAAACe4/4PCHuO73HUY/Lindy%27s+Shower+Invite.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br />The room has three windows with deep panes, so I lined them with potted plants that also served as door prizes for the guests....wrap a potted plant in colored tissue paper and tie a ribbon around it to hold the paper in place<br /></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300517333256990338" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 450px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY84bmaVboI/AAAAAAAACXg/-XNhAKSxC5U/Shower-5.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300517325977573378" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 450px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY84bLSyWAI/AAAAAAAACXY/Yi-hvpP72IM/Shower-4.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300517323519956050" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 600px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 450px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_0-Uz5sHt3Bc/SY84bCI2FFI/AAAAAAAACXQ/o216LQ__MM0/Shower-3.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br />These were taken in the process of setting the food table.
