In my spare time I decorate for weddings, showers, birthday parties, basically any social gathering you need decorated!

My full time job is as an accountant, decorating and photography are just a part-time / on the side hobby that I love doing.

My goal this year is to remember to take pictures of the events that I decorate. All too often I get so involved in the "decorating" that I completely forget to get my camera out to document my efforts, I can name too many weddings/showers which I have NO pictures to prove I was there. First wedding of the year....no pictures. I guess my goal for this year will have to be a work in progress.

Aunt Grace's 100th Birthday

We had an open house to celebrate my Great Aunt Grace's 100th birthday.

I hand-made the invitations with Stampin' Up products. In keeping with a fall theme, the guest tables were decorated with flower stuffed pumpkins, mums, candles, apples, gourds and cinnamon sticks. I served finger foods out of Longaberger baskets and covered the food tables with burlap. The mums and pumpkins were given to a few of the guests that came to celebrate her 100th birthday with us.
In total we had about 150 guests show up to wish my Aunt a happy birthday.

The guest of honor....I hope I look this good when I'm 100!!
She thought it was a little foolish for us to make a big deal of her birthday, in her mind it was just another day.
