In my spare time I decorate for weddings, showers, birthday parties, basically any social gathering you need decorated!

My full time job is as an accountant, decorating and photography are just a part-time / on the side hobby that I love doing.
You can contact me about decorating your event @ amy.youreventdesigner@gmail.com

My goal this year is to remember to take pictures of the events that I decorate. All too often I get so involved in the "decorating" that I completely forget to get my camera out to document my efforts, I can name too many weddings/showers which I have NO pictures to prove I was there. First wedding of the year....no pictures. I guess my goal for this year will have to be a work in progress.

Wedding: Brandy & Louie

Brandy & Louie were married in McCleansboro and their reception was at the Rend Lake Golf Course. They specified decorating with purple (the bride requested purple tulips), which was the color of the bridesmaids dresses but let me fill in the rest on my own! I decided to use lime green to offset the dark purple and used fresh flowers in varying shades of purple and green.
I personally loved the way everything came together (so did the bride & groom!).
The church alter...
Brides flowers.....(the bride carried all shades of purple with just a little bit of green - the bridesmaids carried mainly green with just a little purple - their dresses were a really dark shade of eggplant)

The BEAUTIFUL bride...

Pew markers, the church has the comfy, thickly padded chairs. So each 'pew' end had white organza draped and puddle on the floor with black satin ribbon tying the fresh floral pieces on.
The reception hall....my favorite part was the purple orchids in 16-inch vases - LOVED them!

I incorporated more of the green into the reception hall. We were under the impression that the tables would be rounds and found out that there wasn't enough room for them when we arrived to decorate, we had to make rows of pushed together banquets to have enough seating for everyone.
My 'design' had to change at the drop of a hat in order to get everything done in time - which of course I did. The tables had runners of the lime green satin along with alternating tall purple orchid vases, floating candles in 3 sizes groupings, fresh floral arrangements and small floating candles along with white, green and light purple votive candles scattered along the tables. Of course when all the candles were lit it made a huge impact. Unfortunately I was cleaning up the church when everything was lit so I wasn't able to get a picture.
You'll just have to trust me that is was GORGEOUS!

The curtain behind the head table was basically a curtain of lights!

The cake table...

Thank you Brandy and Louie for allowing me to decorate your wedding day!
Congratulations on the marriage!

Reception: Lindsey & Ben

The happy couple

Lindsey & Ben love ORANGE so that's the color of their reception (and kitchen if you haven't been to their home). The flowers were shades of orange and hot pink. Since they were married on a beach, I tried to incorporate that into the reception with sand & shells.

The reception hall wouldn't allow me to put sand on the tables unless it was in a container. So I used burlap to make a 'sand mound' without the sand.

To go with the beach theme, the guests were given Salt Water Taffy in shades of orange.

The programs were done with pictures from the wedding on the beach in Destin, Florida

Michelle's Wedding Reception

Michelle's wedding reception at Blue Sky Vineyard.

This was a cocktail reception held at a winery. I decorated the painted table tops with varying square glass vases filled with submersed white orchids topped with a white floating candle, white mini calla lilies, and floating gardenia's. White floating candles were used in different size vases also.
