In my spare time I decorate for weddings, showers, birthday parties, basically any social gathering you need decorated!

My full time job is as an accountant, decorating and photography are just a part-time / on the side hobby that I love doing.
You can contact me about decorating your event @ amy.youreventdesigner@gmail.com

My goal this year is to remember to take pictures of the events that I decorate. All too often I get so involved in the "decorating" that I completely forget to get my camera out to document my efforts, I can name too many weddings/showers which I have NO pictures to prove I was there. First wedding of the year....no pictures. I guess my goal for this year will have to be a work in progress.

Wedding: Ashlee & Bryan

I was so excited when I met with the bride and groom to discuss their ideas for decorating their wedding. The bridesmaids were in black dresses and the bride requested all YELLOW flowers. Loved the color combo - very bold and classy. I did some research and presented them with many options, much to my delight they were excited about accenting with lemons. Ashlee asked for spider mums and calla lilies to be used as her flowers, I added in a few roses for filler. We used 7 cases of lemons, approx 375 candles, over 1200 fresh floral stems in the decor for a head count of approximately 350 guests. Three different centerpieces were used on the 44 tables decorated. I hope you enjoy the pictures of Ashlee and Bryan's wedding as much as I enjoyed decorating it - it's definitally one of my all time favorites.
Ashlee & Bryan were a great couple to work with and I wish them all the best in life & marriage.
I owe a huge thanks to those who helped decorate this wedding - my mother, Brenda, Johnathon, Staci, Julie, Arielle, Bethany, Nina and dad & Aunt Eileen in the breakdown after the wedding. Here are a few of the completed civic center while it was still light outside & before the candles were lite.

The head table and backdrop was lite with a lot of candles and white lights, draped in black and offset with yellow flowers. When the wedding party arrived there were vases evenly spaced along the front of the table to hold all of the bouquets (the wedding party wasn't there yet for my pictures).

The place setting: black charger plates with a damask plate & yellow napkin with a lemon graphic. I also had coasters printed with the graphic and Ashlee & Bryan's name. I used the same lemon/lemon wedge graphic on everything I printed for their wedding.
Love the look - can't wait to use the black chargers again.

Placecards for the wedding party - lemon design of course.

ThankYou bags at every place setting - lemon slices in white organza bags with a "lemon" designed thank you tag.

Three different centerpieces: a lemon topiary, three piece floating candles and snapdragons in a vase filled with lemon slices. All were surrounded by candles.

The cake table (the pedestal votive candles holder are new and I LOVE them!)

The brides flowers in white and yellow - roses, spider mums & calla lilies

The bridesmaids flowers - all yellow roses, spider mums & calla lilies

Just as a reference, this is what the civic center looked like when we arrived.

Tammy's Bridal Shower

I decorated/threw a bridal shower for my cousin Tammy. Her wedding colors were red/black and since they're easy colors to decorate with I decided to use them also for the shower. Below are a few pic's from the shower. To keep with the red/black theme, the cake (made by Kathy Eickleman, aka...Kathy's Country Creations) was red velvet. My mother & Aunts helped with the food, we attempted to serve as much red & black food as possible (notice the red Twizzlers).

The invitation was a digital creation.
