My full time job is as an accountant, decorating and photography are just a part-time / on the side hobby that I love doing.

My goal this year is to remember to take pictures of the events that I decorate. All too often I get so involved in the "decorating" that I completely forget to get my camera out to document my efforts, I can name too many weddings/showers which I have NO pictures to prove I was there. First wedding of the year....no pictures. I guess my goal for this year will have to be a work in progress.

Wedding Flowers: Green & Brown

A bride-to-be called me a few weeks ago and asked if I'd make her silk flower arrangements for her wedding party. I did bouquets for the bride, 3 bridesmaids, 1 junior bride, 1 flower girl, 6 corsages and 14 button holes. Her only request was the use of green orchids offset with brown. The bridesmaids are wearing mocha and the men will be in chocolate brown tuxes.
I'd met the bride at the Bridal Show 2008 in Marion when we decorated the booth in
GREEN and BROWN! She liked it so much she decided to use the same color scheme for her wedding.
