In my spare time I decorate for weddings, showers, birthday parties, basically any social gathering you need decorated!

My full time job is as an accountant, decorating and photography are just a part-time / on the side hobby that I love doing.
You can contact me about decorating your event @ amy.youreventdesigner@gmail.com

My goal this year is to remember to take pictures of the events that I decorate. All too often I get so involved in the "decorating" that I completely forget to get my camera out to document my efforts, I can name too many weddings/showers which I have NO pictures to prove I was there. First wedding of the year....no pictures. I guess my goal for this year will have to be a work in progress.

Reception: Erin & Tony's Wedding Reception

The bride and the groom....they were married in Florida and had their reception after they returned from their honeymoon.

The bride loves Gerbera Daisies so that was the primary flower.

The bride and her maids.

The head table fully decorated. Her bridesmaid's wore yellow dresses as you can see above and the bride asked that the reception be full of color - dark pink, orange, lime green and yellow. The backdrop was a wall of lights covered with yellow organza draped with dark pink satin. The table was draped in yellow organza and lined with buckets of flowers, white candles, and lots of shells.

The theme of the reception was the "Beach" since they were married on a beach. So I used a lot of sea shells, starfish & sand dollars and of course how can you do a beach theme without sand.
I saw these cute boxes filled with sand and candles on an online site but they were 1) extremely pricey and 2) the wrong size for a round table. So I made a quick trip to Home Depot and with the help of Dad, we built my version of the sand box.

....very,very happy with the way these turned out - tabletop sand boxes filled with sand, candles and shells! Can't wait to use them again.

I wanted to do a bucket of flowers but couldn't find silver metal buckets that I liked. I did however find red ones, unfortunately red wasn't one of the wedding colors. So I had to spray paint them. Love the Hammered Metal paint from Rust-Oleum.

.....and this is what they turned out like.

The three table designs:

The wedding cake, isn't it adorable!

Thanks for allowing me to decorate your reception!
Hope you have a wonderful life together.
